Bio
Your love of football has dominated much of your life. While at
Olivet you were a four-year starter and letterwinner. You earned
first-team All-MIAA honors in 1964. You still hold the Olivet
single-game record with 223 receiving yards against Augustana
College during the 1963 season.
You were also a four-year letterwinner of the Olivet baseball
team. As a starting shortstop, you were first-team All-MIAA in
1962, 1964 and 1965. During the 1965 season, you helped the Comets
win the MIAA Baseball Championship.
Your athletic success led you to become an educator and coach in
high schools and colleges for 42 years. Because you took a personal
interest in the young people you coached, you helped to mold their
lives.
In 1988, you returned to Olivet to serve as head football and
baseball coach. You led the 1991 football team to an overall mark
of 7-1-1, which stands as one of the best single-season records in
school history.
Olivet is proud to induct you into the Olivet College Athletic
Hall of Fame on this 23rd day of September, 2006.
