2016 Olivet College Wrestling Camp
HIGH SCHOOL /JR. HIGH CAMP: Open to any wrestlers entering high school and experienced junior high wrestlers entering into the 7th grade in the Fall of 2016. The camp runs from Tuesday, June 14-Friday, June 17. All of these campers Will compete in the final day Dual event as part of Camp.
YOUTH CAMP: Open to any grade school children or novice junior high students, and runs from Tuesday, June 14-Thursday, June 16.
Guest Clinician Sessions Only Camp: Open to Any Age Wrestlers, Can Only Attend the technique sessions put on by our Guest Coaches - Alec and Mike Pantaleo and Nick Simmons. Session 1 with Alex is June 14th 4pm-7pm and Sessoin 2 with Simmons is June 16th 1:30-4:30pm.
CHECK-IN: Tuesday, June 14
- Residents -- 10 a.m.-noon at Shipherd Hall
- Commuters -- 11 a.m. - noon at The Cutler Event Center
- Guest Clinicians Sessions- Check in starts 30mins before each session
FACILITIES: Six-eight full mats, swimming pool, outdoor turf and grass fields, weight room, and athletic training room
WHAT TO EXPECT: This camp will tailor to all experience levels. Each session will consist of technique and live wrestling. We will run two wrestling sessions a day and one night session for resident campers consisting of games and guest speakers. Topics for speakers range from Goal Setting, Strength and Conditioning, Nutrition, and Mental Training. Coaches are offered extended training talks at night. Clinicians will be supported by current members of the Olivet Wrestling Team and Resident Advisors. Special session are open to advanced wrestlers, such as College Drill Sessions and Workouts. All Junior High and High School Campers automatically compete in the Summer Duals Event on the last day of camp as a part of their cost. Team members can choose to stay together for the duals and individuals will be assigned teams. Youth wrestlers will be assigned specific camp councilors for the week.
All resident wrestlers and coaches receive all meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner), T-shirt and lodging. All commuting wrestlers and coaches receive lunch between morning and afternoon sessions and T-shirt.
REQUIRED FOR ALL CAMPERS: Workout clothes for the week (coin-operated washers and dryers available for use to residents), head gear, knee pads, wresting shoes, running shoes, electric fans for rooms, swimsuit, and extra spending cash for snacks and apparel.
OPTIONAL FOR RESIDENTIAL CAMPERS: toiletries (toilet paper provided) and towels, and sleeping bag. Otherwise, you will be charged a fee of $12 for the week for soap, shampoo, bedding and towels.
COST: For the High School and Junior High Camp: $290.00 for full resisdential and $190.00 for commuter. A Team Discount of $20 per camper is given for any team that has a coach sign up and pay the Team Deposit. For the Yough Commuter Camp price is $140 (No discounts for Youth Camp). For Guest Clinician Technique Camp price is $50 for either session, or $80 for both.
TEAM DEPOSIT: Please add head coach's name as camper's name as well as in the section for the parent/guardian information. The full amont of the $200 deposit must be paid using this online form. Upon receipt of the deposit, Camp Director Brandon Brissette will reach out to you to send individual registration forms for your wrestlers to fill out and return.
PAYMENT: You can pay the entire camp fee online when you register or you can choose to pay a $25 deposit. The balance is due either at check-in or online prior to the first day of camp. Either way, the $25 deposit is non-refundable. If you pay the entire camp fee online prior to the start of camp and have to cancel, you will be refunded the amount minus the $25 deposit.
