OLIVET, Mich. – The Olivet College athletic training department is collecting athletic training/medical supplies, used athletic equipment and athletic apparel to send to the Oak Grove High School (OGHS) in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. Monetary donations to help cover shipping costs are also being accepted.
All of the athletic facilities at OGHS were destroyed last week in an E4 tornado. The plan is to ship the boxes of good to Hattiesburg by next Friday, Feb. 22. If you have anything you would like to donate or any other questions, please contact Assistant Athletic Trainer Amanda Cox at (269) 749-7522 or acox@olivetcollege.edu.
“We thought this would be a great way for us to live the Olivet College Compact by being able to serve the larger community and being able to spread the message of the college,” said Cox. “We are very appreciative of the support we have already received from the campus community regarding this service project.”
