Five Olivet College softball players earn NFCA Scholar-Athlete honors
Five Olivet College softball players have earned NFCA Scholar-Athlete honors for the 2011-12 academic year. Student-athletes must have a 3.5 or higher grade point average for the entire academic year to qualify for the award.
OLIVET, Mich. – Five Olivet College softball players have earned National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Scholar-Athlete honors for the 2011-12 academic year. Student-athletes must have a 3.5 or higher grade point average for the entire academic year to qualify for the award.
Being honored are Rachel Cook (Traverse City/Central), Brooke Coshow (Niles/Brandywine), Mary Lamp (Alpena), Lauren Lenard (Dimondale/Lansing Catholic) and Lindsey Maas (Pinckney). Cook earned the honor for the fourth consecutive year, Maas for the third straight year, and Coshow and Lenard for the second consecutive year.
The Comets will open the 2013 season in March at the Gene Cusic Classic in Fort Myers, Fla.
