Women’s golf team cards 336 in first round of NCAA DIII National Championships
The Olivet College women's golf team carded a 336 team score today to stand in 14th-place after the first round of the 2013 NCAA Division III National Championships on the Baytowne Golf Club course and inside the Sandestin Golf & Beach Resort in Destin, Fla.
DESTIN, Fla. – The Olivet College women's golf team carded a 336 team score today to stand in 14th-place after the first round of the 2013 NCAA Division III National Championships on the Baytowne Golf Club course and inside the Sandestin Golf & Beach Resort in Destin, Fla.
The Comets were led by junior Theresa Damico, who shot a 79. She had one birdie on Hole #10, as well as 10 pars, six bogies and one double bogey. Freshman Casey Lamp finished her round in 82 strokes. Junior Adrienne Plourde completed her round in 84 strokes. She had two birdies, including one on the last hole. Freshman Brooke Kastamo posted a 91, and junior Ashley Stark needed 100 strokes to complete her round.
Olivet will begin its second round tomorrow afternoon at 12:50 p.m., with Stark teeing off first, with Kastamo, Lamp, Plourde and Damico to follow in 10-minute intervals. The NCAA is providing a live leaderboard at http://www.golfstatresults.com/public/index.cfm?tournament_id=4428.
