Adrian College was selected as the preseason favorite and received six first-place votes. Hope was picked second and received the other first-place vote. Coaches were not allowed to vote for their own team. Calvin and Alma were chosen third and fourth, respectively.
POLL RESULTS: 1. Adrian 6 pts. (6), 2. Hope 13 (1), 3. Calvin 17, 4. Alma 19, 5. Olivet 27, 6. Trine 29, 7. Albion 36
"I am excited about getting our season started in early March," said first-year Olivet Head Coach Mary Ann Meltzer. "I am also happy the MIAA is sponsoring lacrosse for the first time and look forward to the competition in the league."
Olivet opens the 2013 season with a non-conference game March 14 at Wittenberg (Ohio) University. The Comets' first MIAA game will be Thursday, April 4, at Albion College.
