Women’s tennis team defeated by Calvin, 8-1
The Olivet College women’s tennis team was defeated by Calvin College, 8-1, in a Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) match this afternoon indoors at the Huizenga Tennis & Track Center in Grand Rapids.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Olivet College women's tennis team was defeated by Calvin College, 8-1, in a Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) match this afternoon indoors at the Huizenga Tennis & Track Center in Grand Rapids.
The Comets' only win came at the No. 2 singles flight. Senior Kelsey Singer (Brooklyn/Columbia Central) lost only three total games en route to a straight set, 6-1 and 6-2, win.
Olivet will now gear up for a busy weekend with MIAA matches Saturday and Sunday at the Minges Creek Athletic Club in Battle Creek. On Saturday, the Comets will play Albion College at 2:30 p.m., and on Sunday, they will play Trine (Ind.) University at 1 p.m.
