Olivet College's Ciaravino named MIAA Field Athlete of the Week
Olivet College sophomore Cassie Ciaravino (Lapeer/East) has been named the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Field Athlete of the Week for women's track and field.
OLIVET, Mich. – Olivet College sophomore Cassie Ciaravino (Lapeer/East) has been named the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Field Athlete of the Week for women's track and field.
Ciaravino won two events for the Comets at the All-American Invitational, hosted by Adrian College on April 6. She took first-place in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 16.69 seconds and set a school record in the long jump with a first-place leap of 17 feet, 8-3/4 inches. Ciaravino also anchored the second-place 4x100-meter relay that finished in 54.08 seconds.
Olivet will host the 2013 MIAA Jamboree this Saturday, April 13.
