Men’s golf team places 13th at Trine A.C. Eddy Invitational

ANGOLA, Ind. – The Olivet College men's golf team finished 13th at the 2022 Trine (Ind.) University A.C. Eddy Invitational. The one-day, 18-hole tournament was at the Zollner Golf Course.

Final Placement: 13th of 13 schools
Par / Yardage: 71 / 6,384 yards

• The Comets tallied a 341 team score.
• The host Thunder took first-place with a 292 team score.
• Mitch Lowney from Trine and Jacob Siebenga from Calvin University tied for individual medalist honors with even par 71s.

• Junior Wes Darrow shot Olivet's best round with a three-over par 74 to share seventh-place in the player standings. He had a 38 on the front nine and 36 on the back nine. He birdied two holes – the par 4, 358-yard No. 8 and par 3, 172-yard No. 17. Darrow's remaining holes included 12 pars, three bogies and one double bogey.
• Sophomore Liam Carter was next at 84. He shot par on five holes and a bogey on the remaining 13.
• Freshman Connor Jewell carded an 87.
• Sophomore Blake McLane completed his round in 96 strokes.
• Freshman Dylan Beck rounded out the Comet lineup with a 109.

• Olivet competes in a match play event with Ohio Northern University next Thursday, April 14. The tournament is at the Colonial Golfers Club in Harrod, Ohio.
