Olivet College’s Lang earns D3hoops.com All-Great Lakes Region honors
Olivet College junior post Stefanie Lang (Valparaiso, Ind.) has been named to the 2013-14 D3hoops.com All-Great Lakes Region second-team.
OLIVET, Mich. – Olivet College junior post Stefanie Lang (Valparaiso, Ind.) has been named to the 2013-14 D3hoops.com All-Great Lakes Region second-team. She is only the second women's basketball player in school history to earn D3hoops.com All-Region honors.
Lang, a first-team All-Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) selection, averaged a double-double, 21.0 points and 13.9 rebounds per game, in leading the Comets to a 22-4 overall record this season. She broke single-season school records for points (526), field goals made (217), field goals attempted (405), rebounds (348) and blocked shots (44).
Lang tied for the NCAA lead with 22 double-doubles. Her single-game highs were both school records, 43 points vs. Kenyon (Ohio) College and 27 rebounds vs. Muskingum (Ohio) University. Overall, Lang scored more than 20 points in 12 games and 10 games with more than 15 rebounds.
