Women’s basketball team loses 88-27 game at Trine

ANGOLA, Ind. – The Olivet College women's basketball team dropped an 88-27 decision to nationally-ranked Trine (Ind.) University this evening at the MTI Center in Angola, Indiana.

  • Trine, ranked No. 5 in this week's D3hoops.com Top 25 poll, raced out to a 21-0 lead in the first five minutes and 32 seconds of the game. The Comets trailed 32-5 at the end of the opening quarter, 48-13 at halftime and 64-21 at the end of the third quarter.

  • Senior Shawnee Dame had a team-high eight points.
  • Junior Amari Brown contributed six points and team-best six rebounds.

  • Brandi Dawson led all players with 17 points.
  • Cassidy Williams chipped-in 10 points.
  • Katy Steers grabbed a game-best nine rebounds.
