Women’s tennis team falls to Kalamazoo, 7-2
The women’s tennis team fell to Kalamazoo College, 7-2, in a MIAA match today at the MSU Tennis Facility in East Lansing.
EAST LANSING, Mich. – The Olivet College women's tennis team fell to Kalamazoo College, 7-2, in a Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) match today at the MSU Tennis Facility in East Lansing.
Olivet scored its two points in singles play. Junior Giana Guerra (Lansing/Waverly) stayed perfect in MIAA play and won her ninth straight match with a 6-2, 6-3 straight set win at the No. 2 position. Junior Kelsey Singer (Brooklyn/Columbia Central) improved to 9-3 this season with a come-from-behind win at the No. 3 position. She lost the first set, 6-2, rebounded to win the second set 6-3 and then won the match with a 10-3 victory in the match tiebreaker.
The Comets will host Calvin College in their final home match next Tuesday, April 12, at 4 p.m.
