Bio
Affectionately Creator of wrestling championships, he left behind
a record of great merit. A four-year member of the Comet wrestling
team, he won 73 matches, lost 11 and had one tie. Thirty-four of
his victories were by pins. He was MIAA champion three times and
runner-up once. He was selected three times for the all-MIAA
wrestling team. He served as captain of the Comet wrestling team in
1971-72, 1972-73 and 1973-74. He was named most valuable wrestler
in 1970-71, 1971-72 and 1973-1974. Victory upon victory accrued
under his leadership.
The entire campus-faculty, coach, administrators, fellow athletes
and friends were saddened by his untimely death in November 1974.
Many recall with deep appreciation his leadership as a president of
Phi Alpha Pi fraternity, his warm and friendly personality and his
efforts as a recruiter of other Comets.
With great admiration, Olivet College is proud to induct him into
the Athletic Hall of Fame.
