Bio
Yours has been a life of competition, both on the athletic field
and in the arena of real life. In your youth, if a ball was round,
you were in the game. Indeed, while at Olivet you played
championship basketball from 1968 through 1971. In your senior
year, the coaches of the MIAA elected you to the all-conference
basketball squad. In both your junior and senior years you served
your team as co-captain.
Baseball was your key interest for the spring season of 1969 through 1971. Your speed and accuracy in the execution of double plays served as a balm to many of our pitchers. And here again, the coaches around the league, gave their nod that placed you on the MIAA team of honor for baseball, 1971.
Today, still serving your community, you relate well to students seeking their academic careers at Alpena Community College. We all look to you now, as once we did when you would win for your alma mater. You are, in your own special way, still part of that winning tradition.
Now we ask you to join one more league of champions, and accept our invitiation to the Olivet College Athletic Hall of Fame, rendered this 20th day of October, 1990. Congratulations!
