Bio
Longtime friend and supporter of Olivet College, in 1910 he set a
new MIAA broad jump record with a leap of 22 1/2 feet. This
remained unequalled at Olivet for 25 years. That same year he
participated with his teammates in winning the MIAA championship in
track. Olivet, under his leadership, won track championships for
four consecutive years. He was part of the winning mile relay team
and in 1912 served as student president of the MIAA. Olivet proudly
acknowledges him as one of her outstanding athletes.
