Dean Trailways Comets of the Week - November 22, 2021
The Dean Trailways Female Comet of the Week is sophomore Kinsley Noel, of San Marcos, California, and graduate of Mission Hills High School. Noel aided the women’s swimming and diving team to a split of a non-conference double dual meet at Manchester (Ind.) University. She won the 200-yard freestyle (2:07.69) and 500-yard freestyle (5:41.77) and swam the second leg of the winning 400-yard freestyle relay. Noel also anchored the 500-yard medley relay with the fastest freestyle split in the race at 58.58 seconds.
The Dean Trailways Male Comet of the Week is junior Takato Timmerman, of Yokosuka, Japan, and graduate of Poway (Calif.) High School. Timmerman helped the men’s swimming and diving team sweep a non-conference double dual meet at Manchester (Ind.) University. He took first-place in both breaststroke events, winning in season-best time of 1:01.38 in the 100 and 2:21.04 in the 200. Timmerman had the fastest breaststroke split, 1:00.18, in the winning 400-yard medley relay, and anchored the winning 400-yard freestyle relay with the fastest split of the race at 49.29 seconds.
