Dean Trailways Comets of the Week - March 6, 2023

The Dean Trailways Male Comet of the Week is senior Jordon Brown, of Niles, and graduate of Niles High School. Brown broke the school indoor record in the 200- and 400-meter dashes at the Wartburg (Iowa) College NCAA Final Qualifier. His times were 21.95 seconds in the 200 and 48.96 seconds in the 400. The 200 time also set a new meet record and was the fastest of 18 runners in the race. With the performance, Brown secured a trip to the 2023 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championship in both events.

The Dean Trailways Female Comet of the Week is senior Gabby Jolliff, of Fowlerville, and graduate of Fowlerville High School. Jolliff broke the school indoor pole vault record at the Ohio Northern University NCAA Final Qualifier. Her mark was 11 feet, 1-3/4 inches. Joliff is now the school pole vault record holder for both indoors and outdoors.
