Dean Trailways Comets of the Week - September 12, 2022

The Dean Trailways Female Comet of the Week is senior Kiersen McDonough, of Mason, and graduate of Mason High School. McDonough had a hole-in-one in the first round of the Kyle Campbell Memorial Invitational. She aced the par 3, 144-yard No. 12 at The Medalist Golf Club in Marshall. The shot helped her card a career-best 89 total for the round. The hole-in-one is believed to be the first-ever by an Olivet women's golfer.

The Dean Trailways Male Comet of the Week is freshman Dontal Wright, of Lansing, and graduate of Sexton High School. Wright had five rushes for 197 yards in Olivet’s 54-14 win over Eureka (Ill.) College. Of his five carries, three went for touchdowns, covering 45, 54 and 84 yards. Wright also caught one pass for 18 yards and returned the opening kickoff 28 yards to give him 243 all-purpose yards. The 84-yard rush from scrimmage is the seventh-longest by an NCAA Division III football this season.
