Comets of the Week - December 16, 2024

The Male Comet of the Week is senior Kody Krupp, of Chesaning, and graduate of New Lothrop High School. Krupp posted a 4-0 record to help the wrestling team win its four matches at the Heidelberg Holiday Duals. Three of his wins were pins at 1:18, 4:20 and 1:40, and the fourth win was a forfeit.

The Female Comet of the Week is sophomore Christina Malackanich, of Hersey, and graduate of Reed City High School. Against Alma College, Malackanich scored 11 points and grabbed 11 rebounds for her second double-double of the season. She made 5-of-9 baskets, including a three-pointer, for her 11 points, while her 11 rebounds were all defensive boards. In addition, Malackanich dished out three assists.
