CO-MALE COMET OF THE WEEK

Name: Owen Fremeau
Sport: Track and Field
Hometown / High School: Jackson / Western
Accomplishments: Broke the UOlivet indoor shot put record with a heave of 56 feet, 2 inches at the Hillsdale Wide Track Classic. The performance placed him second in the event and moved into third on the NCAA Division III Performance list. He also finished fourth overall (first among DIII competitors) in the weight throw with a mark of 57 feet, 3-1/2 inches.

CO-MALE COMET OF THE WEEK

Name: Porter Kretschman
Sport: Basketball
Hometown / High School: Grand Rapids / Coopersville
Accomplishments: Averaged a double-double in helping the men’s basketball team win two MIAA games. Scored 19 points and grabbed 17 rebounds in a win at Adrian College and followed that with 10 points and 14 rebounds in a home win against Trine University (Ind.). For the week, he made 10-of-16 baskets (62.5 percent) and 9-of-11 free throws (81.8 percent). Ten of his rebounds were offensive rebounds.

FEMALE COMET OF THE WEEK

Name: Adrianna Good
Sport: Bowling
Hometown / High School: Charlotte / Charlotte
Accomplishments: Averaged 186 pins over three games at the American Heartland Bowling Association #5 held at the Monroe Sports Center. The performance led the Comets to a second-place at the event. As well, it helped Olivet secure the 2025-26 AHBA Championship and win her AHBA Women’s Bowler of the Year honors.
