FEMALE COMET OF THE WEEK

Name: Brooke Jankwietz
Sport: Indoor Track & Field
Hometown / High School: Manistee / Manistee
Accomplishments: Competed in the shot put and weight throw at the Saginaw Valley Holiday Open. Finished ninth overall and was the top NCAA Division III thrower in the shot put (36 feet and 10-1/4 inches). Had a personal best mark of 39 feet and 7-3/4 inches in the weight throw.

CO-MALE COMET OF THE WEEK

Name: Alexander Brown
Sport: Track & Field
Hometown / High School: Lansing / Laingsburg
Accomplishments: Broke the UOlivet indoor record in the pole vault with a 14 foot and 3-1/4 inch clearance. Tied for fourth-place of 24 competitors in the event.

CO-MALE COMET OF THE WEEK

Name: Juwan Vines
Sport: Wrestling
Hometown / High School: Grand Blanc / Goodrich
Accomplishments: Finished second in the 174-pound weight class at the Ohio Northern University Polar Bear Invitational. Reached the championship match via three pins (6:04, 2:03 and 6:08). Lost the championship match by an 8-4 score. His performance helped UOlivet place fifth in the team standings.
