Name: Bryan Carney
Sport: Baseball
Hometown / High School: Grosse Pointe Woods / Grosse Pointe North
Accomplishments: Carney struck out a UOlivet game record 18 batters in helping the Comets defeat Albion College, 6-0. He allowed two hits and three walks over eight innings to earn his sixth pitching win of the season. With the 18 punchouts, Carney also broke the single season and career records for strikeouts

FEMALE COMET OF THE WEEK

Name: Kenzie Gray
Sport: Track and Field
Hometown / High School: Ottawa Lake / Whiteford
Accomplishments: At the Calvin Knight Invite, Gray achieved personal bests in both the discus throw and hammer throw. Her mark in the discus throw (120 feet, 8 inches) moved her up to No. 6 on the UOlivet all-time top 10 list, while her mark in the hammer (120 feet, 9 inches) slid her into No. 10 on the list.
