Baseball team splits two games in Myrtle Beach
The Olivet College baseball team split two games today in Myrtle Beach, S.C. The Comets opened the day with a 9-5 win against Eastern Mennonite (Va.) University, and then fell to Wesley (Del.) College, 11-4.

The Olivet College baseball team split two games today in Myrtle Beach, S.C. The Comets opened the day with a 9-5 win against Eastern Mennonite (Va.) University, and then fell to Wesley (Del.) College, 11-4.
Against EMU, senior Brian Schaeffer (Mason) earned the win after pitching six innings. At the plate, sophomore Scott Purdy (Traverse City/West) and senior Nate Rann (Laingsburg) each drove in two runs. Rann also had two base hits.
Junior Dave Pembroke (Bay City/John Glenn) suffered the loss against Wesley.
The Comets (4-1) will play a doubleheader against EMU tomorrow, beginning at 1 p.m.
