OLIVET, Mich. – The Olivet College baseball program is pleased to host its Fall Prospect Camp on November 18 at The Cutler Event Center. This camp will provide high school players the opportunity to be evaluated by the Comets' coaching staff and receive instruction on how to improve their skills. Camp is open to all players in grades 9-12.
During camp, athletes will participate in a pro-style workout and be assessed on their 10-yard and 60-yard sprint times, positional throwing velocity, exit velocity and Blast Motion® metrics. Following camp, athletes will also be given a written evaluation which includes this information and areas for improvement.
In the afternoon, campers will be introduced to the same drills and instruction used by the Olivet baseball team including individual and team defense, offense, baserunning and pitching development. Athletes will also be introduced to strength and conditioning and nutrition concepts geared towards the high school athlete.
Registration and check-in will begin at 9 a.m., with camp starting promptly at 9:30 a.m. and ending at 3:30 p.m. Campers should bring their own equipment, including cleats, gym shoes, gloves, and bats. Lunch will be provided in the school dining hall.
The cost to attend will be $50 per camper.
All questions should be directed to Assistant Coach Shelby Dixon at jdixon@olivetcollege.edu.
