ALMA, Mich. – The University of Olivet baseball team lost twice to Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA foe Alma College, 15-2 and 11-1, this afternoon at Klenk Park.
THE BASICS
- Final Score: Alma 15, Olivet 2; Alma 11, Olivet 1 (7)

GAME 1 HIGHLIGHTS
- The Scots pushed across five runs in the home half of the first inning. The Comets got one run back in the top of the second before Alma hit a solo home run in the bottom of the inning to keep the score at a five-run differential, 6-1. The Scots blasted another solo homer and a two-run homer in the fourth to extend their lead to 9-1. Junior Mikey Kuzara drove in sophomore Austin Alflen for Olivet's second run in the sixth. Alma capped the scoring with six runs in the sixth inning.
- The Comets finished the game with five hits, all singles by Alflen, Kuzara, sophomore Jack Friesen, junior Brody Parten and sophomore EJ Suggitt. Three pitchers each tossed two innings. Senior Wyatt Leland started and gave up six runs on five hits and five walks to be charged with the loss.
GAME 2 HIGHLIGHTS
- The Scots led 8-0 behind two runs in the first, one run in the second and five runs in the fourth. Olivet scored its lone run in the top of the sixth when Suggitt and Friesen hit back-to-back doubles. Alma closed the scoring with a single tally in the bottom of the sixth and two runs in the seventh to end the game after seven innings.
- The Comets were held to four hits. The two doubles, and singles by junior Tyler Hall and sophomore Brody Lehman. Freshman Teegan Glennon allowed the first three runs on six hits over three innings to be tagged with the loss.
