OLIVET, Mich. – The University of Olivet baseball team lost both games of a Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association doubleheader to Albion College, 8-4 and 11-2, today at the Cutler Athletic Complex.

GAME ONE HIGHLIGHTS
- The Britons scored four first-inning runs. Albion added two more runs to its total in the third inning. The Comets closed the gap with two runs in the bottom of the third. Two straight singles, followed by a double by junior EJ Suggitt down the left field line and an infield single by senior Mikey Kuzara scored the runs. The Britons got one run back in the fifth inning.
- Olivet cut its deficit down to three runs with a pair of runs in the sixth inning. Albion added an insurance run in the top half of the seventh. The Comets did not go down quietly in the last half of the seventh, as they used a double, infield single and walk to load the bases. A strikeout ended the threat.
- At the plate, Olivet tallied 10 hits. Suggitt, senior Brody Parten and freshman Ryan Wiggins each had two hits. Both of Suggitt's hits were doubles.
- On the mound, freshman Dawson Sherman was the losing pitcher after surrendering six runs on seven hits and two walks over the first two innings. Junior Austin Wittrock pitched the final five innings and gave up one earned run on two hits, while striking out five.
GAME TWO HIGHLIGHTS
- The Britons plated two runs in the second inning. The Comets pushed across a run in the sixth inning when Kuzara hit an RBI-single. Albion immediately answered with a pair of runs in the top of seventh. Olivet scored its second run in the home half of the seventh. The Britons sent 12 batters to the dish and scored seven runs in the ninth.
- At the plate, the Comets were held to four hits. The only extra-base hit was a double by Wiggins. The rest were singles by Kuzara, Suggitt and senior Tyler Hall.
- On the mound, freshman Wyatt Ball was charged with the loss. He allowed two runs (one earned) on three hits and six walks over four innings. Freshman Emilio Garcia, Jr. and senior Logan Lewis finished the game in relief.

- Olivet travels to play Aquinas College tomorrow for a nine-inning, non-conference game. The first pitch is set for 4 p.m.
