Bio
Kevin Thompson is in his first season as an assistant baseball coach at Olivet College in 2021.
Thompson played four years at Alma College as a pitcher and middle infielder. He led the team with a 5-0 record in 2013. Thompson hurled six complete games and three shutouts en route to an 11-6 career record with a save. He led the team in wins in 2012 and 2013, and innings pitched in 2013 and 2014.
Thompson earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Alma College and his master’s degree in coaching and athletics administration from Concordia University Irvine.
After his playing career in 2014, Thompson coached baseball at Petoskey High School from 2014-16 and Portland High School from 2017-20.
A Petoskey native, Thompson played hockey and baseball for the Northmen. He currently resides in Haslett.
