Quackenbush named MIAA Special Teams Player of the Week

Olivet College sophomore return specialist Chris Quackenbush (Waterford Mott High School) has been named Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Special Teams Player of the Week.

In Olivet's 49-13 win Sept. 25 against Manchester (Ind.) College, Quackenbush averaged 27.7 yards on four returns (two punts and two kickoffs). For the season, he leads the MIAA with a 30.7-yard kickoff return average.

Quackenbush and the Fighting Comets will open MIAA play Saturday, Oct. 2 against Alma College at the Cutler Athletic Complex at 1 p.m.
