Two football players earn MIAA Player of the Week honors
Two Olivet College football players have earned Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Player of the Week honors. Junior Cam Bramer (Olivet) and senior Pat Clasgens (Livonia/Stevenson) are Defensive and Offensive Player of the Week, respectively.
Two Olivet College football players have earned Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Player of the Week honors. Junior Cam Bramer (Olivet) and senior Pat Clasgens (Livonia/Stevenson) are Defensive and Offensive Player of the Week, respectively.
Bramer made 24 total tackles, including 13 solo stops, in the Comets' 28-14 loss to Hope College Oct. 31. He also intercepted a pass, returning it 22 yards to stop a Flying Dutchmen scoring threat. For the season, Bramer has 59 tackles.
Clasgens carried the ball 25 times for 178 yards and two touchdowns in the loss to Hope. His longest run was 33 yards. For the season, Clasgens has 91 rushes for 412 yards and four touchdowns along with eight receptions for 52 yards. He leads the team in scoring with 24 points.
The Comets (0-9, 0-5 MIAA) have their bye week this Saturday and will conclude the 2009 season Saturday, Nov. 15 with a 6 p.m. game at Adrian College.
