Barnett and Grigsby named to D3football.com All-Region 4 team

BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – Olivet College student-athletes Cortaveon Barnett and Alonzo Grigsby have been selected to the 2021 D3football.com All-Region 4 Team. Both are third-team selections.

The teams, selected in balloting by Region 4 sports information directors and D3football.com staff, were chosen from 161 nominations by full Division III member schools. A total of 77 players were chosen.

A 2021 All-Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) First Team running back, Barnett broke Olivet's single-season record with 1,320 rushing yards on 115 carries. His 11.48 average per rush leads all of NCAA college football. Barnett rushed for 15 touchdowns and caught two touchdown passes to rank second all-time at Olivet for a season with 17 touchdowns and 102 points.

A 2021 All-MIAA First Team selection defensive end, Grigsby finished the season with 33 total tackles (22 solo and 11 assisted). Of his 33 tackles, 13.5 were for negative 79 yards, with nine being a quarterback sack. Grigsby forced a team-high five fumbles, which is the most by an Olivet player for a season since the 2007 season.
