Foust and Langston named MIAA Football Players of the Week
HUDSONVILLE, Mich. – Junior quarterback Thomas Foust and sophomore linebacker Draven Langston from The University of Olivet football team have been named the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Players of the Week on offense and defense, respectively. They received this honor for their performances in the Comets' 45-12 victory over Kalamazoo College.
Foust used his arm and legs to roll up 224 yards of offense. He had 14 carries for 145 yards and threw for 79 yards and two touchdowns on 5-of-13 passing.
Langston topped the Comet defense with 13 total tackles, including nine solo stops. Of his 13 stops, two were for negative 10 yards. Langston also recovered a fumble.
The Comets (2-3, 1-1 MIAA) return to the field Saturday, October 19, at Trine (Ind.) University. Kick-off from Zollner Stadium in Angola, Indiana, is scheduled for 1 p.m.
