The Olivet College men’s basketball team defeated non-league foe Davenport University, 112-72, tonight at Reformed Bible College.

The Fighting Comets made 44-of-69 shots from the floor, including 11-of-22 three pointers. They also connected on 13-of-14 free throws. Olivet outrebounded the Panthers, 39-28, and made only 10 turnovers.
Senior guard Matt Brawley (Niles High School) led the way with 22 points as he made seven-of-11 shots from the floor, including five-of-eight from three-point range.
Junior forward Ronnie Pearson (Holly High School) and sophomore forward De'Andre Pruitt (River Rouge High School) chipped in with 17 points apiece. Pearson also grabbed a team-high six rebounds. Sophomore center Derek Cox (Niles High School) contributed 10 points and five rebounds.
Olivet is next in action on Saturday, Dec. 13, when it hosts Concordia University in a non-league game at approximately 3 p.m. It is the second game of an Olivet women's/men's basketball doubleheader. The Lady Comets will play Spring Arbor University at 1 p.m.
