WESTERVILLE, Ohio – The University of Olivet men's basketball team fell to Denison (Ohio) University, 78-67, in its second game at the Otterbein (Ohio) University Smokey Ballenger Classic this evening at the Rike Center. Sophomore Connner Schipper was selected to the All-Classic Team.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Big Red scored the first three points of the game. Denison stretched its advantage to as many as 22 points, 48-26, before Olivet made the last basket of the half to trail by 20 points (48-28) at the break. The closest the Comets got in the second half was 10 points.
FOR THE COMETS
- Schipper paced Olivet with 18 points.
- Freshman Porter Kretschman and sophomore Nathan Richardson each scored 16 points.
- Kretschman grabbed a team-best 10 rebounds.
- Schipper and senior Nolan Finkbeiner dished out three assists apiece.
UP NEXT
- Olivet begins Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association play next Wednesday, January 8, when it travels to play Hope College at 7:30 p.m.
