Richardson named to D3hoops.com All-Region 7 team

OLIVET, Mich. – The University of Olivet junior Nathan Richardson has been named to the 2025-26 D3hoops.com All-Region 7 Second Team. He is only the fifth men's basketball player in school history to be selected to the D3hoops.com All-Region teams.

Richardson helped the Comets win the 2025-26 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) regular season title. The MIAA Defensive Player of the Year and an All-MIAA First Team selection, he led the conference with 52 steals (2.0 per game), while averaging a team-best 14.6 points and 3.5 assists per game.

Players were nominated for these awards by the sports information directors at the various schools, and schools and conferences were each contacted multiple times as the season wound down to remind them to make their players eligible. There were 797 players nominated nationwide. The ballot was then made available to a few SIDs, who voted for a predetermined number of players in their region. 

Players from these lists are eligible for the D3hoops.com All-America teams. The men's basketball All-America team will be released the week of March 28.
