Men’s golf team places fourth at Battle at Braveheart

ALMA, Mich. – The Olivet College men's golf team placed fourth of six schools at the Battle at Braveheart, hosted by Alma College and played at the Pine River Country Club in Alma.

  • Olivet had a team score of 327 strokes.
  • Trine (Ind.) University won the team title with a 296.

  • Sophomore Nicholas Hoffman was the co-medalist with a one-over par 73 (37-36). His rounded featured two birdies, 13 pars and three bogies.
  • Senior Joey Richmond shot an 81 (40-41).
  • Sophomore Cameron Lemon completed his round in 83 (43-40) strokes.
  • Freshman Jacob Wester carded a 90 (46-44).
  • Freshman Mason Evans rounded out OIivet's lineup with a 93 (53-40).

  • Olivet starts Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association play next Wednesday, Sept. 12, when it hosts a jamboree at the Bedford Valley Country Club in Battle Creek, starting at 1 p.m.
