UOlivet finishes sixth at Earlham Spring Invitational

RICHMOND, Ind. – The University of Olivet men's golf team took sixth-place at the 2025 Earlham (Ind.) College Spring Invitational. The two-day, 36-hole event was held at the Richmond Elks Country Club.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Comets shot a two-day total of 650 strokes. In today's second round, Olivet had a spring season low 317 team score.
- Indiana University-East captured the team title with a 612 (312-300).
- Sam Firebaugh from IU-East and Arthur DelBourgo from Earlham tied for medalist honors with 147s.
FOR THE COMETS
- Freshman Zachary Pier posted a two-day total of 156 strokes to share ninth-place in the player standings. In the second round, he carded a three-over 75, including three birdies.
- Sophomore Brady Applegate completed his two rounds in 166 strokes, with back-to-back 83s.
- Sophomores Noah LaValley and Zachary Lull both had 168s.
- Junior Mitchell Bair-Pollard improved the most from day one to day two. On day one, he finished with a 94 and on day two, he dropped 16 strokes off his total to give him a two-round total of 172 strokes.
- Freshman Bradon Ellis was in the lineup as an individual scorer and shot 159 (80-79).
UP NEXT
- Olivet is idle until Monday, April 28, when it competes at the Steven Tyler Memorial, hosted by Kalamazoo College and played at The Moors Golf Club in Portage.
