Bailey tabbed MIAA Men’s Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week
Olivet College freshman attacker Trevor Bailey has been tabbed the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Men's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week.
FREELAND, Mich. – Olivet College freshman attacker Trevor Bailey has been tabbed the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Men's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week.
Bailey scored three goals in Olivet's 19-3 win over Kalamazoo College. He followed that performance with five goals on 14 shots in the Comets' 17-16 overtime win at Hope College. The wins helped Olivet move into a tie for second-place in the MIAA standings.
Olivet plays its final two regular season contests this week. Tomorrow night, the Comets are on the road to face Trine (Ind.) University at 7 p.m., and on Friday afternoon, they welcome Albion College to the Cutler Athletic Complex for a 4 p.m. game.
Both games have an impact on the seeding for next week's four-team MIAA Tournament. Albion currently sits on top of the standings with a 5-0 record, with Olivet and Hope one game behind at 4-1. Trine is tied with Alma for fourth with 3-2 records. Albion hosts Hope tomorrow night, while Trine hosts Hope on Saturday afternoon.
