Wells named to the NSCAA/Adidas Scholar All-Midwest Region Team
Olivet College junior Jole Wells (Lapeer High School) was named to the honorable mention squad of the National Soccer Coaches Association of America/Adidas All-Midwest Region Men’s Soccer Team.
OLIVET, Mich. -- Olivet College junior Jole Wells (Lapeer High School) was named to the honorable mention squad of the National Soccer Coaches Association of America/Adidas All-Midwest Region Men's Soccer Team.
Wells, a midfielder for the Fighting Comets, carries a 3.53 grade point average in business administration. In 2002, he played in 20 games for the Comets with 19 starts, recording three goals and three assists for nine points. For his efforts, Wells also earned Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association coaches' honorable mention honors for the second straight season.
"Jole is a leader for us on the field," said Head Coach Matt Wait. "This award shows that he is a leader off the field, too."
Wells and the Comets will open the 2003 season at the Dominoes Classic at Roanoke College in Salem, Va. August 30 and 31..
