The Olivet College men's soccer team was shutout by Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) co-leader Calvin College, 4-0, this afternoon in Grand Rapids.
After a scoreless first half, the Knights (11-0-1, 6-0-0 MIAA) scored four second-half goals. For the game, Calvin outshot the Fighting Comets (2-6-3, 0-5-0 MIAA), 34-5.
Junior forward Ben Rau (Sparta High School) was credited with two shots for Olivet. In goal, junior Will Drogt (Kewadin/Elk Rapids High School) played the first 84:23, allowing three goals while making nine saves. Freshman Michael Manning (Charlotte High School) finished the game in goal and allowed a goal.
The Comets are next in action Saturday, Oct. 9, when it travels to play MIAA rival Albion College at 1:30 p.m.
