The Olivet College men's soccer team was shutout by Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) foe Calvin College, 3-0, today in Grand Rapids.
After a scoreless first half, the Knights (9-1-1, 5-0 MIAA) got on the scoreboard in the fifth minute of the second half. Calvin added goals in the 63rd and 69th minute. For the game, the Knights outshot the Comets (3-8, 2-3 MIAA), 27-4. Sophomore Alan Holdorf (Novi) collected two shots for Olivet.
Senior goalkeeper Will Drogt (Kewadin/Elk Rapids) started and played the first 75:20, making seven saves. Freshman Ben Richardson (Traverse City/Central) finished the game in goal and made one save.
The Comets will next be in action Saturday, Oct. 8, at Alma College at 2 p.m.
