The Olivet College men’s soccer team tied Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) rival Albion College, 1-1, today in Olivet.

The Olivet College men's soccer team tied Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) rival Albion College, 1-1, today in Olivet.
The Comets (4-8-1, 3-3-1 MIAA) scored first in the 28th minute. Sophomore Alan Holdorf (Novi) crossed the ball to the feet of freshman Graham Lockwood (Haslett/Williamston), who tapped the ball into the goal. The score remained 1-0 at halftime. The Britons (8-4-1, 3-3-1 MIAA) tied the game on a penalty kick goal with less than seven minutes left in regulation.
Albion had a 21-6 advantage in shots, but both teams had four shots-on-goal. Holdorf tallied two shots for Olivet while Alan Anderson and Aaron Schmidt had four apiece for the Britons. Senior Will Drogt (Kewadin/Elk Rapids) played the entire game in goal and made three saves. Albion keeper Tavio Palazzolo also collected three saves.
Olivet returns to the field Saturday, Oct. 15, when it hosts Adrian College at 2 p.m.
