Men’s soccer team ends season with 5-3 loss to Albion
The Olivet College men’s soccer team ended its season with a 5-3 loss today to Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) rival Albion College.

The Olivet College men's soccer team ended its season with a 5-3 loss today to Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) rival Albion College.
There was no scoring in the first half of action. The Comets scored first in the 52nd minute on a goal by senior Gabe Pringle (Grand Blanc). Olivet added another goal when an Albion defender kicked the ball into his own goal. The Britons (14-5-1, 9-4-1 MIAA) knotted the game at 2-2 on back-to-back goals in the 66th and 67th minutes.
The Comets took a 3-2 lead when sophomore Alan Holdorf (Novi) converted a penalty kick goal. Albion tied the game, scored the game-winner and added an insurance goal in a span of just 88 seconds.
For the game, the Britons outshot Olivet, 21-6. In goal, senior Will Drogt (Kewadin/Elk Rapids) made seven saves.
Olivet wraps-up its 2005 season with an 8-11-1 overall record and 7-6-1 MIAA mark. The seven wins in conference play are the most since 1998 when the Comets had eight.
