The Olivet College men’s soccer team was shutout by Macalester (Minn.) College, 1-0, today in the second round of the 24th Annual Wilmington (Ohio) College Kiwanis Invitational.

The Olivet College men's soccer team was shutout by Macalester (Minn.) College, 1-0, today in the second round of the 24th Annual Wilmington (Ohio) College Kiwanis Invitational.
Macalester (3-2-2) scored the only goal of the game just 9:29 into the second half. Carson Gorecki beat the keeper with a short shot to the far post. Olivet (2-4) was limited to five shots, including two by freshman Matt Manning (Charlotte). Sophomore goalkeeper Ethan Felsing (Mason) faced 18 shots, while making seven saves.
The Comets will host Tri-State (Ind.) University Wednesday, Sept. 19, at 4 p.m. The game will be the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association opener for both schools.
