Men's soccer team comes up short against Albion, 3-2
The Olivet College men’s soccer team came up short against Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) rival Albion College, 3-2, this afternoon at the Cutler Athletic Complex in Olivet.

The Olivet College men's soccer team came up short against Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) rival Albion College, 3-2, this afternoon at the Cutler Athletic Complex in Olivet.
The Britons took a 1-0 lead with a goal in the 32nd minute. The Comets scored the equalizer with just 11 seconds remaining before halftime. Off a free kick from the right-side of the goal by freshman Nick Smith (Bellevue), senior Andrew Evans (Eastport/Petoskey) headed the ball into the back of the net.
Albion grabbed a 3-1 lead behind goals in the 50th and 80th minutes of play. In the 87th minute, senior Graham Lockwood (Haslett/Williamston) blasted a free kick from 25 yards out into the goal.
Offensively, the Britons out-shot Olivet, 20-12, including 11-4 edge in shots-on-goal. Lockwood along with freshman Phillip Glaub (Okemos) had three shots a piece for the Comets. Sophomore goalkeeper Ethan Felsing (Mason) played all 90 minutes and collected eight saves.
Olivet will travel to play Alma College Saturday at 2 p.m.
