The Olivet College men’s soccer team tied Lake Forest (Ill.) College, 1-1, in double overtime this evening in the first game of the 2018 Wisconsin Lutheran College Warrior Cup.

MILWAUKEE, Wis. – The Olivet College men's soccer team tied Lake Forest (Ill.) College, 1-1, in double overtime this evening in the first game of the 2018 Wisconsin Lutheran College Warrior Cup.

Location: Warrior Soccer Field; Milwaukee, Wis.
Records: Lake Forest 3-2 overall, Olivet 2-4 overall
- There was no scoring in the first half.
- The Comets netted their goal in the 70th minute when freshman Carter Thomas found the back of the net after receiving a pass from sophomore Joshua Rosendale.
- The Foresters immediately answered, 46 seconds later, to level the score at 1-1.
- Olivet tallied 12 shots, including four for senior Alistair Law.
- Thomas and senior David Magallon each had two shots.
- Sophomore Justin Lavin played all 110 minutes and made 10 saves.
- Lake Forest generated 28 shots in the game.
- Amar Korac and Erik Truitt recorded five shots apiece.
- Jan Roessler collected two saves, while playing the entire game in goal.
- Olivet plays the host Warriors in the second game of the tournament tomorrow afternoon at 4:30 p.m. ET.
