FREELAND, Mich. – Olivet College senior forward Joshua Rosendale has been named to the 2021 All-Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Second Team for men's soccer.
Rosendale has started all 15 games for the Comets this season. He tops the team with eight goals, 16 points and 29 shots. Rosendale netted the game-winning goal in three of the four Olivet wins.
"I am extremely happy for Josh," said Olivet head coach Doug Carter. "He made the selfish decision to return this season and use the extra year of eligibility granted by the NCAA last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. That decision was wonderful as Josh was our leader on and off the soccer pitch. We will miss him next season."
Rosendale sits in a tie for third all-time at Olivet with 26 goals. He has started 72-of-73 games for the Comets, with the only non-start being the last game of his freshman season in 2017. Rosendale's other career statistics are four assists, 56 points, 185 shots and 82 shots-on-goal.
Olivet is currently playing at Hope College in the MIAA Tournament First Round. The winner advances to play at Kalamazoo College in the semifinals next Wednesday, November 3, at 6 p.m.
