OLIVET, Mich. – Senior Zachary Stephan's penalty kick goal in the 75th minute was the difference in the game, as The University of Olivet men's soccer team defeated Cleary University, 2-1, this afternoon inside the Cutler Athletic Complex.
THE BASICS

HOW IT HAPPENED
- After there was no scoring in the first half, the Comets jumped out quickly and scored in the fourth minute of the second half. Freshman Abraham Jimenez found the back of the net for his third goal of the season. Junior Tyler Brooks was credited with an assist on the goal.
- The Cougars leveled the score at 1-1 with a goal in the 56th minute.
- Stephan scored the winning goal at the 74:40 mark. Freshman Tyler Kendrick was fouled inside the box, and Stephan stepped to the penalty spot and buried his shot into the goal.
FOR THE COMETS
- For the game, Olivet had a 10-7 edge in total shots, but Cleary had the 7-4 advantage in shots-on-goal.
- Jiminez led the way with four shots, while junior Braden Abbott had two.
- Sophomore Nicholas Van Port Fleet earned the win in goal, as he collected six saves.
