ROCKFORD, Ill. – The University of Olivet men's soccer team kicked-off the 2025 campaign with a 1-0 loss to Rockford (Ill.) University today at Sam Greeley Field.
THE BASICS

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Comets peppered the goal with three shots in the first eight minutes. All three were saved by the Regent goalkeeper.
- Rockford scored its goal in the 25th minute.
- Olivet had a couple more scoring chances in the first half but could not put one in the back of the net.
- Both teams recorded five shots in the second half.
FOR THE COMETS
- Olivet ended the game with a 14-10 advantage in total shots.
- Seniors Aidan Reynolds and Carter Scheel along with freshman Marcel Jackson tallied three shots apiece.
- Sophomore netminder Lincoln Homolka played the entire game and made four saves.
