GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The University of Olivet men's soccer team was defeated by Calvin University, 5-0, in a non-conference game this afternoon at Zuidema Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Matt Torrell scored two of three Calvin goals in the first half.
  • Torrell added another goal early in the second half to complete a hat trick.
  • The Knights tallied their final goal in the 61st minute.

FOR THE COMETS

  • Olivet finished the game with just three shots. The only shot-on-goal was by senior Jaden Cantu.
  • Junior Nicholas Van Port Fleet played the whole first half in goal and had one save.
  • Sophomore Lincoln Homolka collected five saves while playing in goal for the entire second half.
