The Olivet College men’s swimming and diving team has captured the 2006 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Championship, edging Hope College by 27 points, 559-532.
After the first day of the 2006 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Championships, the Olivet College men’s swimming and diving team stands in second-place with 145 points. Hope College is first with 178 points. Calvin College is hosting the championships at Jenison High School.
The Olivet College men’s swimming and diving team defeated Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) rival Kalamazoo College, 151-89, this afternoon at the Upton Center pool in Olivet. With the win, the Comets end the dual meet portion of their schedule with a perfect 7-0 overall record and 5-0 MIAA.
The Olivet College men’s swimming and diving team finished in first-place at the University of Chicago Invitational held Jan. 13-14 at the Myers-McLoraine Pool in Chicago. Olivet topped the eight-team field with 1,325.5 points, while the host Maroons were second with 1047.5 points.
The Olivet College men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams defeated the Univ. of Chicago today at the Battle Creek Lakeview High School Pool. The men edged the Maroons, 160-132, and the women won, 224-73.
